Vestax 'Itch'

Never one to fall behind in the technology stakes. djsolution have ordered and are eagerly awaiting Vestax & Serato's new collaboration 'Itch'. Due for release late June, this little piece of kit aims to replace two turntables and a mixer. Now... let's get this straight, as far as we are concerned, this will never fully replace two techinics/cdj's and a mixer. However we view this as the perfect back up for our dj's and if successful we will implement them into all of our rigs.
Another huge benefit has to be loading your dj set up into 'hand luggage'.

Having successfully launched a vj night (video dj) at the brilliant Mix Bar in Winchester. We at djsolution are now looking to implement live video cameras and projectors for our Corporate & Wedding Clients.

We are very excited about the possibilities of this new technology. Essentially we will be able to mix music videos alongside live feeds (up to 4 cameras) from the event and also show footage provided, ie wedding videos or corporate team building videos.

The latest piece of kit acquired is the magnificent Edirol V-4. Aside from having a fader straight out of the Death Star, this little baby is at the heart of everything visual and controls all the inputs.

We have only begun to scratch the surface of vjing but we strongly believe that offering our Clients a full audio visual experience it the way forward.

The Hard Sell, Amsterdam

First came Brainfreeze, then Product Placement. Now, time for the third incarnation of DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist's genius in 45's 'The Hard Sell'.

Unable to get tickets for the sell out London show, a few of us including Martin 'Saturday' Iball, hot footed over to Amsterdam to see what can only be described as one of the best gigs I've ever seen.

Truly inspiring, these two guys were working 8 decks playing all 45's. Loop pedals and drilling off centre 45's to sample & create a crazy show that made complete sense.

Genius.
